It is never the intent to tell people what to do. The goal is to point out what appear to be low-risk, high probability ideas for swing trades. It is up to you to decide if the trade makes sense for your style of trading. Think of Brian as your coach who calls in the plays but YOU are the player who has to make decisions in the heat of the battle.
No changes to swing trade stops will be made in the Trading Room. The stocks that Brian mentions in Trading Room will be ones which have been on our watch list over the last few days and may include new watchlist ideas which do not get mentioned in videos. The new ideas should be considered “daytrade ideas” but you may choose to trade them on a longer term basis depending on your own circumstances and preferences. The official swing trade ideas are identified and updated in the videos and on the spread sheet, those are the only times that swing trade stops will be adjusted. There will generally be no real price targets, except “higher “ for longs and “lower” for shorts, the main emphasis will always be RISK MANAGEMENT.
Biotech stocks are considered high risk and should always be traded with smaller than normal size. Small cap biotechs, in particular, are never suggested for overnight holds. If you choose to hold longer please be aware of the higher risks in these stocks.
+ Please do not post unfamiliar symbols during the first 20-30 minutes of the day, we probably already have enough stocks to monitor. Unfamiliar stocks would include stocks which have not been mentioned in videos over the last few days or ones you have not mentioned before the open as something you are watching.
+ Be aware of liquidity and if you mention stocks which trade less than 500,000 shares/ day (20 day average) mention that it is lighter volume so people do not waste their time looking at stocks which many not be appropriate for them.
+ You are encouraged to bring stocks which are setting up to the attention of the group but it is a waste of everyone’s time if you mention stocks which have already moved. We are only interested in LOW RISK actionable ideas or some information that may be beneficial in terms of market action.
+ Do not tell us about your big winning trades when you never mentioned the entry.
+ If you start a conversation with someone that can benefit the group continue in public otherwise please use the direct message feature.
+ We all miss out on good trades that we were anticipating, that is part of trading. It is unproductive (and annoying) to hear your “woulda, shoulda, coulda’s” or “if only I…” etc.
+ No one has all the answers or knows what will happen, we just have scenarios. Do not talk with certainty or arrogance, if you do the market will find you and eventually take your money from you and everyone will be secretly rooting against you too!
+ Do not distribute any information from other paid services in the room, please respect the work of others as their own.
+ This is a PRICE BASED approach, we do not try to interpret news events. It is okay to mention that a company is due to report earnings or that a broader news event is due but we do not want to hear any opinions of the news, only the price action.
During market hours, this room is NOT a place to discuss; religion, politics, sports, etc. It is not a place to be negative or critical of others in the room or anywhere else, negativity will not be tolerated. Please be respectful of everyone and their market approach. We can still have some fun, but let’s try to keep it market focused. This is a Trading Room, not a “Chatter Room” please add value with comments.
Everyone assumes responsibility for all of their trades, it is your responsibility to know when earnings are due and your decision whether or not to hold a position overnight. We try our best to focus on low-risk ideas but sometimes news will bring us an unfortunate larger loser, that is part of trading. It happens to everyone at some point, if it happens to you, learn from it. No one likes a whiner, NO WHINING!!

+ Please refrain from general questions like “what do you think of XYZ?” Questions should be identified in a way where it shows you gave it thought before asking. Something like “I am considering ___ for a long/short trade above/below $xx.xx with a stop of $xx.xx, my intended hold time is _ days/weeks/longer term.”
+ For general market questions (ie- what moving average should I use on xx timeframe? Etc) this is not the forum, Monday night webinars are the place to get those questions answered and these questions should be sent to 1bshannon@gmail.com
Twitter- if you are mentioning the trades we do in real time on twitter or any other Trading Room, blog etc you will be asked to stop and if it continues you will be blocked from the room.

Gap- When a stock opens above or below the previous day close it can dramatically change the setup based on our prior analysis. See This Link For More Information
Pivot, R1, R2, S1, S2- these are the “pivot levels” which are determined by a mathematical formula Fibonacci (Fib level, retracement) See This Link For More Information
VWAP- volume weighted average price
VWAP since event – volume weighted average price since a certain event such as an earnings report or some other catalyst that got the stock moving
Innocent until proven guilty- the stock or market referred to is in an uptrend and that uptrend should be expected to continue as long as the “most recent, relevant higher low” is not violated
Guilty until proven innocent- the stock or market referred to is in a downtrend and the downtrend should be expected to continue as long as the “most recent, relevant lower high” is not violated.
