Momentum stocks have been brutalized and I would not expect them to return to their former levels or for upside momentum to return for quite a while. The phrase “if they don’t scare you out, they will wear you out” really rings true now for so many broken stocks. Unless you are looking for quick intraday scalp trades stay away from the stocks in downtrends, your risk is not only further losses but having your money tied up for a long period of time when it could be better served elsewhere.
